The Department of Business Administration is the biggest department at the School of Business, Economics and Law, with 100 lecturers performing research and 60 doctoral students.
Organisation-based research is allowing us to develop a knowledge and understanding of enterprise which is paving the way for well balanced development of companies and society. Industries, branches, companies and the public sector are all being studied as part of the wealth of research projects taking place at the department.
The department offers education in business administration and economic geography. It is divided into four sections: Industrial and Financial Management & Logistics, Management & Organisation, Marketing and Accounting.
There are also five centres at the department: the Centre for Retailing, the Centre for Business Solutions, the Centre for Business in Society, the Centre for Tourism and the Centre for International Business Studies.
