Research Interests:
The dissertation follows the entrepreneurial process from idea to realization over a timeperiod of approximately three years. The processes are followed at close quarters and the dissertation offers a detailed account of the entrepreneurs successes and setbacks, decisions and actions. Dreams of future success are mixed with everyday chaos during the hunt for resources, legitimacy and a critical mass of content. The study focuses on how the entrepreneurs¿ work to involve and engage actors through the use of stories. By having a narrative approach to entrepreneurship, the aim is to contribute to the emerging movement which views entrepreneurship as a process of "being" rather than "becoming", and putting language in the center of attention for describing and understanding everyday entrepreneurial practice over time.

My current research interest is in understanding and describing organizing and innovation management in companies and in society at large. For the moment, I do research on so called open innovation, i.e. organizations and individuals opening up their innovation processes for external influence in co-creation of value. This includes areas such as open innovation, user innovation, crowdsourcing, use of social media, web 2.0 and other (information)technologies, and the management of intellectual property.

Between 2009-2013, I am project leader for a research project funded by the Swedish Research Council, called “A Theoretical framework for Open Innovation in practice”. I am also project leader for a VINNOVA-funded research project (2009-2013) named “Open innovation in theory and practice”. In the project, we have members from the Business Administration, IT-faculty and Law.
